Talamone Camping Village

Opening season from 16/04/2012 to 23/09/2012 TALAMONE (GR) - [ Tuscany ] Completely hidden in the thick of the Maremma Nature Park, Talamone Camping Village is perched on a hill which overlookes the entire bay from Talamone upto Mount Argentario.
It is a really impressive and varied site, an ideal destination for those keen on "wind sports" and nature.
Horseback riding and sailing, diving and trekking: you certainly can have your pick!
On site you find a panoramic swimming pool, archery, tennis, beach volley, football field, table tennis, children's playground, giant draughts.

SHUTTLE SERVICE TO TALAMONE
During the day a shuttle service is at your disposal: it runs to Talamone and its rocky beaches, in particular “Bagno delle Donne”, a beautiful inlet overlooked by the Sienese Fortress of Talamone.

BEACH
The private beach is situated 450 m from the campsite, it is a small but sandy beach, ideal for children en sport lovers, windsurfers and kitesurfers. Also canoes, pedalos and beachvolley in the sea.

PARCO BEACH
Brand new is the area Parco Beach, directly on the beach, an esotic meeting point with Bar and Self Service. Here you can rest in the shadow in one of the comfortable hammocks or on the deckchairs.

SHORT PARK TRAIL
Our botanic gardens lie on the top of the campsite hill and present the typical, varied Mediterranean flora, in particular the plants of the Maremma Nature Park.

PITCHES
The campsite flat area is reserved for caravans, camper vans and trailer tents.
All pitches are numbered and delimited by trees, in particular pine trees and eucalyptus. But exceptional of the site are its terraces for tents. Ancient olive trees, rosemary and broom bushes, cork trees… this typical vegetation frames a highly evocative and variegated site, an ideal destination for nature lovers. And nature itself is our pride! All pitches are supplied with electricity (included in the price).
The campsite also comprises two groups of sanitary facilities, free hot showers, laundrettes, freezer for ice containers.

COTTAGE MICHELANGELO
Two-room cottages (4 guests) all with sea view, they comprise lounge with kitchenette (equipped with cooking utensils) and sofa bed (two singles), double bedroom, toilet with shower, air condition, comfortably furnished veranda.

DISC GOLF
The first course in Italy!
Disc Golf is a version of golf played with frisbee. The players follow a course of 12 holes varying in distance and difficulty trying to finish with the least amount of throws. The course is set in an olive grove next to the campground.

DIVING CENTER
On site there is a Diving Center which organises beginner’s (Open Water) and advanced-level courses (Advance Open Water Diver), till higher levels (Dive Control Specialist). Its equipment comprises, among other things, two powerful dinghies, with a total capacity of 15 divers each time they put out to sea.
The Diving Center arranges single dives during one-day excursions to the isles of Giglio, Giannutri and Formiche, or even shorter journeys for snorkelling lovers to the coast beyond the Talamone promontory, which can be reached only by sea. The seabed of this area is rich in benthonic organisms, lots of fish species, caves and tunnels, corals and red gorgonias.

WINDSURF E KITESURF SCHOOL
The Twkc group organises windsurfing and kitesurfing lessons at all levels and hires out all sorts of equipment. Talamone is an ideal destination for “wind sports” lovers because of its thermal wind blowing NW at an average speed over 15 knots.
Beside this, the bay is also characterised by the north-east wind and the sirocco blowing SE, particularly appreciated by kitesurfers.
